Job DescriptionAn employer in the Titusville, FL market is looking for a Power Systems Engineer to joining their team. This person will develop and perform task assignments for facility power distribution systems (up to 13.8 KV) at the Kennedy Space Center. Oversee Mission Support planning and coordination; equipment Operations and Maintenance; electrical project planning; facility power system design, and mission test procedure development. The individual will have some oversight, be responsible for assigned Medium Voltage power distribution systems, coordination with the Mission Support Office to support all Launch and Mission related activities, and work with technical craft labor to maintain the overall health of assigned systems. Work directly with other senior and entry level Systems and Design Engineers. Knowledge of electrical system protective relaying, Motor Controls, SF6 Gas circuit breakers, Metal Clad/Vacuum switchgear operation and design, Vacuum Fault Interrupters, HV & MV Breakers and high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment, Power Transformers, Emergency Generators, Photovoltaic systems, UPS/Battery systems, VFD's, Lightning Protection, Grounding and Bonding, Power system controls to include SCADA systems and power system PLC control Logic, LED and Traditional Lighting design.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
