Description:Define requirements and component specifications for panels, wiring harnesses and electrical systemsConceive new electrical and electronic system designs for customer convenience and efficient manufacturabilityConduct product research on electrical and electronic equipment and componentsGenerate engineering drawings for new designs and approve all electrical prints for boat release to vendors and to manufacturing.Review and approve load calculations based on ABYC standards for AC and DC electrical systemsDetermine shore power configuration and generator size (120-V,240-V, 50/60 Hertz)Determine battery and charging system requirements for DC electrical systemDetermine grounding and galvanic protection requirements for AC and DC electrical systemsDesign and approve main and distribution panel boards for AC electrical systemsTechnical design and layout of audio and visual systems including sizing, layout, cabling and schematicsTechnical design and layout of navigation electronics including panels, support cabling and schematicsProvide manufacturing with technical support and direction including trouble shooting, testing and system verification.Generate Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Notice’s (ECN) as requiredSkills & Qualifications:Lean Six Sigma and 5S principles preferred.ABYC Standards familiarity and Certification preferred.Training in computer aided design and ability to produce 2D drawings, schematics and wire lists3D modeling softwareDesign verification tests on finished productDVPR testingLoad calculationBSEE preferred but not requiredAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
