This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida .Sr. Staff Systems Integration SE is expected to provide technical leadership, direction, and mentoring to a team of managers, engineers, and technicians and serve as the authority on the scientific principles underpinning architecture and infrastructure of the system under development. This role is expected to demonstrate mastery and innovation in multiple engineering disciplines at the platform level and apply novel solutions in identifying alternate approaches to a broad array of systems integration challenges.This position requires full command of the systems engineering discipline to understand the requirements, interfaces, design, verification, sell-off, and mission of the system throughout the product lifecycle. The selected candidate will develop advanced technological ideas and guide their development to a final product, with direct impact on the Sector, serving as the technical organizational spokesperson to leadership, while maintaining critical external customer contacts to understand their technical needs, and synthesizing this to contribute to the achievement of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) objectives.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of science Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 14 years of experience in engineering; or a Master of science Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 12 years of experience in engineering; OR PhD in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 10 years of experience in engineering
Experience in systems architecture, infrastructure, and/or multiple subsystem design activities
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Degree in Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
Formal Systems Engineering training, certification, or advanced degree.
Experience performing large-scale system integration (crossing sub-systems)
Experience in developing, managing, and selling-off (verification and validation) of requirements
An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance
Salary Range: $162,500 - $243,700The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
