The Square Grouper Key West is looking for a lead prep/pastry chef to join our team! We are a scratch kitchen and make everything in house, including all soups, sauces, starches, desserts, etc. We are looking for someone with extensive baking and prep experience to lead our prep kitchen and execute items such as - Key Lime Pie, Magical Brownies, Seafood Stew, Conch Chowder, Bread Pudding, and more! All of our recipes are standardized and provided, so the ability to follow recipes accurately is a must! We will also give you the creative ability to collaborate with the chef on specials and daily features.

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of soups, sauces, and desserts according to established recipes and presentation standards.

Assist in the planning and execution of prep lists & specials, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety and handling regulations.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to create new dessert offerings and seasonal specials.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a restaurant or catering environment.

Strong knowledge of culinary techniques related to pastry preparation, including baking, soups, sauces, and food safety practices.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
