Experienced Cook needed for an Assisted Living Community is St. Johns, FL - Job description:
1. Prepare, plate in an appealing manner, and serve when necessary, entrees, soups, gravies, sauces and desserts as assigned.
2. Keep food warm/cold prior to serving, according to procedures in place.
3. Prepare baked goods and other light snacks in accordance with planned events.
4. Knowledge of all resident’s dietary needs likes and dislikes.
5. Facilitation of snack, hydration and diabetic nutrition program.
6. Serve food and clean tables, when necessary, in a restaurant-style fashion.
7. Store food products and related supplies according to accepted standards and practices according to State Regulations.
8. Follow sanitation and safety standards in accordance with State Regulations.
9. Maintain a clean food service area and follow daily maintenance and cleaning procedures, including pots and pans and dishes if needed.
10. Assist with inventory, dating, labeling of all food products and supervising the serving staff.
11. Must always be in clean and proper chef attire.
12. To oversee the front of the house and develop resident relationships.
13. Be available for production of special events
14. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
