Description Responsibilities:
Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade corporate networks and in house servers.
Install and integrate new server hardware and applications.
Troubleshoot network hardware and software, responding to network incidents and resolving them to maintain and improve network stability.
Ensure network security and connectivity and manage network access.
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
Maintain and monitor strategic, companywide virus protection and security.
Define network policies and procedures and manage how projects are ran.
Recommend and implement network enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Network Administrator.
Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) is a plus.
Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
In-depth knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.
