The Lee Viacava Law Firm is seeking a legal assistant to help with the day to day tasks and will work along a senior paralegal with decades of experience. Responsibilities:
Answering firm phones and interacting with potential new clients
Retrieving phone messages and returning calls to existing and potential new clients
Performing intake of potential new clients, including conducting conflict checks within the existing database
Confirming daily appointments via phone and/or e-mail
Assistance with scheduling in-office appointments for attorneys
Opening of new client files and assisting with client file maintenance
Assist with docketing case deadlines
Greet clients for in-office meetings
Prepare agenda for, schedule, and be present at weekly firm staffing meetings as needed
Perform administrative tasks related to cases
Act as a liaison with firm IT professionals when computer issues arise
Assist with creating templates, intakes, and with troubleshooting within the customer relations database
Assist in the day-to-day operations of managing a business.
Perform other necessary tasks on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Word
Must be comfortable with technology
Must be a quick learner and be willing to learn
Previous experience in administrative or law office experience is preferred
Happy disposition, positive attitude, drama-free
Present and engaged with co-workers and with clients
Strong attention to detail
Reliable and punctual
