Now Hiring Skilled Operators: Candidates must be proficient in the operation of any of the following CAT Caterpillar Machines; Excavator; Bulldozer
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, backhoes/excavator, dozers, graders. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures.
Key duties/responsibilities:
Operate equipment of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various materials. The operator must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:
Operates backhoes/excavators, dozers, graders, or other pieces of heavy equipment
Performs required equipment maintenance and storage
Must have knowledge of road construction and maintenance techniques
Must have knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures
Performs required record keeping
Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
Performs required equipment cleaning per standards and procedures
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor, clean equipment. Performs other related duties as required.
Excavator Candidates must be proficient in the operation of any of the following CAT Caterpillar Excavators: 320; 330; 336, 345; 349; 374, 385; 390 track type excavators. All machines are Caterpillar joystick style excavator. Caterpillar 336 excavators equipped with GPS Trimble Machine Control Systems and Product Link.
Bulldozer Candidates must be proficient in the operation of any of the following CAT Caterpillar Bulldozers: D5 LGP; D5 LGP, GPS; D6N; D6N GPS; D6T; D8T track type tractors. All machines are Caterpillar joystick style bulldozers. Caterpillar Bulldozers equipped with GPS Trimble Machine Control Systems and Product Link
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must have the use of sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public using the handheld radio and personal communication as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle, or feel objects and controls. Significant standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling. Work outdoors in different climates. Must be able to lift at least to 80 lbs.
Prior experience required; Field test required prior to hiring.
50 plus hours a week.

Paid Holidays after 90 days and Vacation after 1 year.
Compensation determined by skill and experience.
