The Purchaser is responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the operation of Frank & Jimmie's Propeller Shop. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products. The Purchaser will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and provide cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
-Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
-Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous supply and support.
-Conduct regular reviews of supplier performance and address any issues or concerns.
Procurement Process:
-Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and other procurement documents.
-Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory manager to maintain optimal stock levels.
-Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all procurement activities.
Negotiation and Contracts:
-Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
-Review and manage contracts, ensuring all terms are met and any amendments are documented.
Cost Management:
-Analyze market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
-Prepare and present cost analyses and procurement reports to management.
-Implement strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality standards.
Collaboration:
-Work closely with the engineering, production, and sales teams to understand their requirements and provide appropriate procurement support.
-Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and initiatives.
