As a Mechanical Assembler on the Tank Truck line, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components that ensure the functionality, safety, and reliability of our vehicles. Your work directly contributes to the performance of tank trucks serving municipal, construction, and industrial customers.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to work on heavy vehicle chassis preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, and diesel engines is a plus.
- Familiarity with 12V DC electrical systems
- Basic hand tools required; specialized tools provided by the company.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented with a willingness to cross-train on multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical systems including frames, tanks, pumps, valves, and hydraulic components according to engineered drawings and instructions.
- Install electrical wiring, relays, switches, and harnesses for 12V systems used in our custom tank trucks.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic equipment with precision and safety.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly manuals, and technical instructions.
- Utilize material handling equipment such as overhead cranes to position and install heavy components.
- Conduct final inspections to confirm all systems are properly installed, aligned, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following all company safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to troubleshoot build issues or suggest process improvements.
