As a Mechanical Assembler on the Rampstar chassis line, you will be responsible for the installation and integration of components critical to the operation of our proprietary chassis. This includes mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of specialized chassis used by airports and industrial operators worldwide.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to work on heavy vehicle chassis preferred.
- Familiarity with 12V DC systems, battery setups, and grounding principles.
- Basic tool set required (specialty tools provided).
- Experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and/or chassis work a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to cross-train on multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical systems including frames, engines, fuel tanks, pumps, and suspension components according to engineered drawings and instructions.
- Install electrical wiring, relays, switches, and harnesses for 12V systems used in our custom chassis.
- Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic equipment with accuracy and safety.
- Interpret and work from schematics, assembly books, and verbal instructions.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material handling equipment to move and position chassis components.
- Perform final inspections to confirm all systems are properly installed, aligned, and meet build standards.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors to solve build issues or suggest improvements.
