We are seeking a Technical Specialist in Metrology to join our dynamic Advanced Operations Team. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) programs by providing expert metrology services for both supplier development and the internal manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming, design for inspection, and CMM inspection programs validation.Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of quality and precision in our manufacturing processes, contributing significantly to the success of our product offerings in the medical device industry. This position will be based onsite in our state-of-the-art Robotics Innovation Center in Weston, FL.What You Will Do:

Develop, implement, and optimize inspection methods and strategies for new product commercialization, ensuring the highest levels of quality and efficiency.

Create and validate CMM programs for precise and accurate measurement of complex parts and assemblies.

Work with statistical analysis methods and measurement system analysis (MSA) and conduct validations to ensure reliability and accuracy of inspection processes and equipment.

Support supplier certification processes by providing metrology expertise, facilitating the development of high-quality components and materials from external sources.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Research & Development (R&D) and Global Quality & Operations (GQO) teams to advance metrology processes, contributing to the continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.

Perform calibration, validation, and routine maintenance of test, measurement, and data analysis equipment and systems utilized in clinical research, trials, and product testing.

Assist in the selection, specification, and acquisition of new measurement and inspection equipment, including negotiation of competitive pricing on maintenance services.

Maintain comprehensive documentation pertaining to equipment qualification, validation, and inspection procedures/protocols.

Serve as a key information resource and technical expert to engineers, contractors, and vendors, providing guidance and expertise.

Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements related to metrology and inspection in a highly regulated industry.

Work with multiple problem-solving situations and projects independently, with minimal supervision.

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1 year of relevant work experience preferred OR high school diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience in metrology, with emphasis in the development and validation of CMM programs and inspection methods required

2+ years of technical experience in metrology instruments and software, including advanced CMM programming skills - preferred

2+ years of experience in design for inspection and validation of inspection processes - preferred

Knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other regulatory requirements for manufacturing in highly regulated industries - preferred
