Job Description: Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee our flood control barrier installation projects across Florida. This individual will be responsible for managing field installation teams, coordinating with clients, vendors, and subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate has strong construction project management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to travel as needed to job sites throughout the state.
Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of flood barrier installation projects from pre-construction to final completion.
- Supervise and support multiple installation teams working across various project sites in Florida.
- Ensure projects are executed according to specifications and company procedures.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors during the execution phase.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
- Coordinate logistics, material deliveries, equipment, and manpower requirements.
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and implement timely, cost-effective solutions.
Required Skills and Knowledge
To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills and knowledge:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction (5+ years preferred).
- Experience with infrastructure, civil, or flood control projects strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and permitting.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Florida.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
- Experience managing teams.
