Job Title: Operations Manager / General Superintendent for a Land Development and Underground Utility Companies.
Location: South Florida

Reports To: Owner/Director of Operations / General Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced operations manager to oversee site development and underground utility projects, including site development, water, sewer, storm drainage and other related infrastructure work. The ideal candidate will manage project planning, execution, and closeout phases while effectively coordinating with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. This role requires a professional who is equally comfortable in the field and office, with an extensive experience ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the company, site development, underground utility projects from inception to completion.
Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
Supervise and coordinate field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
Conduct job site visits regularly to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
Review and approve project documents, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and as-builts.
Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, inspectors, and regulatory agencies.
Monitor project financial performance, including cost control and forecasting with management.
Lead project meetings, coordinate logistics, and provide regular progress reports.
Enforce company policies, safety protocols, and construction standards.
Resolve jobsite issues and conflicts in real-time.
Assist with permitting, procurement, and scheduling of materials and equipment
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in site development, underground utility and heavy civil projects.
Proven experience as a project manager or superintendent in field-based roles ( provide references)
Strong knowledge of trenching, pipe installation, directional drilling, and civil sitework.
Familiarity with local codes, OSHA, DOT, and municipal utility standards.
Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
English & Spanish (preferred)

Pay: $120,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
