Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused DME Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers needing durable medical equipment and supplies. You’ll play a vital role in providing compassionate support, verifying orders, and ensuring timely delivery and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding DME products and services
Process orders, insurance verifications, and authorizations accurately and efficiently
Assist patients with billing questions and coordinate with insurance companies when necessary
Maintain accurate records and documentation in the system
Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly
Collaborate with internal teams (billing, shipping, etc.) to ensure smooth order fulfillment
Comply with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous experience in healthcare, medical supply, or customer service preferred
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Basic computer skills and ability to learn internal systems
Dependable, punctual, and able to work full-time hours without frequent absences
