As an Advanced System Software Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our advanced system software. Your expertise in software safety engineering will be instrumental in identifying and mitigating potential risks and hazards in our software systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety strategies, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Your contributions will directly impact the safety and performance of our software solutions, enabling us to deliver high-quality products to our customers.You will report directly to our System Safety Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Conduct safety assessments and hazard analyses of software systems
Develop and implement safety requirements and guidelines for software development
Collaborate with software engineers to ensure safety considerations are integrated into the software development lifecycle
Perform safety verification and validation activities to ensure compliance with safety standards
Participate in verification reviews
Participate in design reviews and provide recommendations for improving software safety
