Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, where you will play a vital part in our company's financial operations. Your main responsibility will be to analyze and document financial transactions from newly acquired properties. This role is an on-site position.Responsibilities: Analyze and document financial transactions from new property acquisitions Start and maintain fresh books for each new acquisition Use Microsoft Excel to perform various functions and formulas Perform accounting duties such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Bank Reconciliations Maintain and manage the General Ledger Execute Journal Entries and Month End Close procedures Experience using financial software like Yardi, NetSuite, Oracle, Orion ERP, Buildium, or AppFolio Be open to working overtime and occasional Saturdays when needed Gain and utilize Yardi experience (highly preferred but not required) Leverage experience working with property acquisition (preferred).Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger maintenance and management Familiarity with the process of Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close processes Knowledge of Yardi software for accounting purposes Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented and organized Ability to handle confidential information Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
