Job Overview:Perform functions to manage the Corporate Accounting Department including establishing and maintaining financial accounting and reporting policies and procedures that comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), making decisions based on conclusions where there is little precedent.The Corporate Controller is a Hybrid Position.Your Responsibilities:

Manage daily functions and operations of the General Ledger accounting department for assigned Regions including staffing, assignment and supervision of all accounting and reporting duties, financial statement preparation and audit procedures. Align resources to work assignments and processes to meet business requirements.

Oversee the production and analysis of internal financial statements and reports to include balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement packages, corporate templates and audit schedules.

Research, identify, analyze and explain any variances or unexplained items on the Income Statement and changes on the Balance Sheet. Review periodic reports of general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and correct errors prior to closing of accounting period.

Manage the process improvement and quality control of the General Ledger functions and transactions to maximize productivity, minimize duplicate work and ensure quality product is delivered. Ensure monthly closings and deadlines are met consistently. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve quality and make recommendations to leadership.

Perform technical accounting research for revenue recognition, lease accounting, acquisitions, mergers, divestitures or other accounting matters as needed.

Establish and maintain strong regulatory compliance by documenting and monitoring internal controls. Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure successful results and compliance.

Develop Standard Operating Procedures and maintain existing procedures. Review processes and ensure they are in compliance with current statutes. Manage the communication and compliance of SOP’s within teams, managers and internal and external customers.

Build Relationships by providing assistance and guidance to division leaders on their financial statements and identify areas to drive efficiencies.

Manage the daily functions of the General Ledger staff while maintaining standards of excellence for processes, methods, and personnel. Work with upper management to develop goals and communicate established goals within the department. Ensure the goals and needs of the department, company and its customers are consistently met.

Manage, oversee and/or deliver training and ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government and customer regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions, and deadlines.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting from an accredited college or university, and minimum seven (7) years general ledger accounting experience and three (3) years management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Active CPA certification required.

Musthave the highest sense of ethics due to the nature of the information at hand.

Must demonstrate and model company values with internal and external customers.

Must possess a high degree of business acumen and analytical and problem-solving skills; Must be able to synthesize information into actionable recommendations and analyses.

Must be adaptable in using organizational skills to prioritize tasks and take ownership of various projects; comfort and ability to deliver results in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.

Must have ability to anticipate busy schedules and communicate with other members of the organization/department to complete assignments on time.

Must demonstrate integrity in research/analysis and commitment to accuracy.

Must have high sense of urgency.

Must possess strong computer skills, including use of Windows and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
