Description We are seeking a self-starter with a demonstrated history of identifying issues and problem solving for this exciting Assistant Controller role. The Assistant Controller will supervise the accounting staff while reporting to the Controller. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Boca Raton, Florida area. Name and create process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Assist with the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Other distinguished duties when required
Support implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Exceptional preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Guide the accounting team during the closing process to arrange that deadlines are met
Ready different technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Ensure regular account reconciliation to completion
Foster accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Generate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and key financial metrics
Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
Backfill for Controller as necessary
Direct to ensure a competent, trained staff through goal setting, development, and regular assessment
Requirements - Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite Technologies
Solid understanding of NetSuite
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IIA standards
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
