Looking for a Home Health Care Aide to assist our vibrant 96-year-old mother in her home (lives with her daughter and son-in-law). Looking for a punctual, reliable and compassionate female provider to assist her with her Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Part-time to full-time hours Monday – Friday from approximately 9am – 3pm. She has no memory issues and is looking for companionship as well as assistance with ADLs. NO AGENCIES PLEASE.
Job Description/Qualifications:
Work with her one-one-one in the home setting
Assist with personal care (ADLs)
Assist with meal preparation
Ensure a clean, safe living environment
Monitor and document her vital signs
Laundry and light household tasks
Document provided services
Be a joyful presence and help our mother enjoy the best possible quality of life
Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
Proficiency in English (she is very hard of hearing)
Good listening skills
Responsible and a good communicator
First Aid training
Reliable transportation to work
Ability to commute to Sterling, VA
Minimum education required: High school diploma
PCA, CCA, Nurse Aide certificate or CNA license required
Background check required
Compensation based on experience
Very friendly black Labrador dog in the home
