SALES COORDINATOR

Position Summary:

Establish a partnership with each member of the Sales Team to maximize selling time, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and ultimately be a strong contributor to the achievement of departmental sales goals.

Apply excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, expertise in sales relations, ability to anticipate needs and comprehensive product knowledge to act as a true extension of the Sales Team.

Essential Functions:

1. Provide administrative support as assigned.

2. Operate and maintain all office equipment.

3. Maintain reader boards throughout the hotel displaying in-house meetings. Update daily.

4. Prepare BEOs and Group resumes for weekly BEO meetings

5. Answer telephone, direct calls, take and refer messages and return calls.

6. Keep all files in an orderly manner. Maintain records of past and future functions according to hotel/company standards.

7. Open, date, and sort incoming mail.

8. Maintain inventory for brochures and sales kits.

9. Responsible for inventory control office supplies.

10. Update any printed materials so that information is accurate and current.

11. Keep mailing lists up to date.

12. Prepare advertising materials for newspaper ads as needed.

13. Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.

14. Review contract files for accuracy.

15. Generate and develop sales leads and contact potential clients to build business relationships for the Weddings and Bar/Bat Mizvahs segments.

16. Respond to RFP leads within 4 hours as assigned by DOSM.

17. Attend Tradeshows as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing

18. Manage hotel reservations for the sales department as assigned by DOSM.

19. Handle VIP room reservations as requested

Education and Experience:

- Previous hotel experience.

Skills and Abilities:

- Organized and attentive to detail.

- Good communication skills.

- Knowledgeable in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

- Negotiation Skills
