Job description
We are looking for a full-time chocolatier to help create truffles, caramels, and confections as well as assist our Head Chocolatier, with 10+ years of experience and expertise. In this role, you will be able to learn a variety of chocolate-making skills including enrobing, hand-tempering, decoration techniques, and caramel/candy-making.

Salary: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Skills: Experience in professional kitchen and food production is required Chocolate or pastry production experience is a plus Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 4 hours) Must be physically able to push, pull, carry, and lift 25-50lbs Must adhere to food safety laws and standards while preparing products Ability to read and speak English proficiently; Payrate: $17-23.00 per hour depending on experienceHiring is contingent upon a successful 90-day probationary period Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule may include weekends and will vary depending on seasonal calendar; Work Location: Arlington (Clarendon) retail location and workshop.
Assist in making quality truffles, bonbons, and confections Package gift boxes and chocolate confections for retail sales Meet time guidelines while working under pressure Package web orders for shipping Greet customers and create a friendly atmosphere while boxing custom assortments Use a point of sale cash register Maintain and enforce a clean work area Handle and move ingredients, tools, pans, etc. as needed Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
