Bistro Cacao has been serving French Cuisine to Capitol Hill neighborhood since 2009. We are looking for a Front of the House Manager to join our dynamic team.
FRONT OF THE HOUSE MANAGER
Report to General Manager
Ensure proper communication between front of house and back of house during service
Actively participate in service: take food and wine orders, assist support staff (clearing & resetting tables)
Arrange for new employees’ proper onboarding and training
Coordinate ongoing training sessions for current and new front of house employees
Ensure front of house employees are clocking in and out according to company policy
Toast POS Programing and updates
Overseeing restaurant staff performance, ensuring quality dining
Assist with preparing shift schedules
Close and open restaurant as needed basis
Assist with keeping detailed records of daily, weekly, and monthly costs and revenues
Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
Respond to guests’ feedback and recommend improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 4-year experience in a qualified restaurant
A passion for hospitality, food and beverage and the guest experience
Strong organizational & creative problem-solving skills
The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
Knowledge on restaurant management software, like RESY and Toast
Fine Dining experience a plus
