Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed and experienced architect and structure engineer to assist with the demolition of an existing residential property and the design and construction of a new home. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes in the DMV area .
Key Responsibilities:
Permitting and Compliance:
Helping us to obtain all required permit, including submissions to local authorities.
Ensure all designs comply with local zoning laws, building codes, and safety regulations.
Demolition Planning:
Create detailed plans for the safe and efficient demolition of the existing structure.
Work with contractors to ensure the demolition process adheres to environmental and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Licensed Architect in DC, MD, and VA (required).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
10+ years of experience in residential architecture, including new construction and renovations.
Familiarity with permitting processes and zoning regulations in the DMV area.
Strong proficiency in architectural software
Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
