The Drafting Engineer will work closely with Estimating and Project Management teams to develop architectural millwork shop drawings and production information in AutoCAD and or other programs such as: Cabinet Vision, 3D modeling software, Solidworks, BSolid etc.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and monitor project progress to ensure drawings and or programing meets deadlines.
- Review all shop drawings and/or programing prior to submitting for fabrication.
- Ability to manage multiple jobs in various stages of construction.
- Clear communication regarding functions upstream and downstream of engineering.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years millwork experience.
- Basic understanding of the fabrication and installation process of architectural millwork products is helpful.
- Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, specification sheets, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
Preferred Experience includes:
- Cabinet Vision and optimizing materials.
- Cabinet Vision Submittals.
- 3D modeling programs (Inventor, Solidworks, etc.) a plus.
- BSolid programing.
- CNC Programing.
