Energy Sector Manager (Tetra Tech ES, Inc. – Arlington, VA); Multiple positions available. Oversee large scale energy related client projects, including management of budgets and invoices, resource management, and the development of work plans. Engage in technical review of deliverables prepared by energy experts, environmental experts, and subcontractors and provide feedback to improve technical accuracy, practicality of recommendations for the client, and overall quality control. Build client relationships in the energy sector. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships for collaboration on client projects. Represent the client in meetings with foreign governments and electric utilities to collect insights, share findings, and obtain buy-in/support for client projects. Conduct research and undertake analyses on a variety of topics in the energy sector, including energy sector markets, power sector reform, energy policy and regulation, utility improvement, energy finance, renewable energy and energy efficiency and climate resilience. Present findings, results, and recommendations of analyses in front of clients, foreign government representatives, and in public engagements. Compile company track record and project qualifications and attend industry conferences and events on behalf of Tetra Tech. Review procurement documents to procure specialized energy consulting/engineering services and specialized power sector modeling software. Travel required 30% of working time. Position reports to Arlington, VA office. Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Economics, Renewable Energy, or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or working in the energy sector. Education, training, or experience must include: sustainability sectors, including experience with renewable resource markets, auctions, power utilities, lifecycles, and technologies; utilizing corporate strategy analysis frameworks and data-driven decision-making; performing research using primary and secondary sources; and MS Office suite including MS Project. Travel required 30% of working time. Position reports to Arlington, VA office. Telecommuting permitted up to 4 days per week.
