Job Brief

You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including kitchen and bathroom renovations, basement finishing, home additions, and other areas of the house. You will be responsible for measuring job sites when needed, creating designs, and working closely with clients to ensure their vision is realized.
Key Responsibilities
Work with clients to determine design needs and requirements for the space to be designed.
Measure job sites and create accurate floor plans and elevations.
Design and draft plans using industry software such as SketchUp, 2020 and AutoCAD.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
Research and recommend materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet both the client's needs and budget.
Provide detailed drawings and specifications to contractors and suppliers for pricing and installation
Consult with clients to select materials, furnishings, and decor.
Assist with ordering and tracking materials to ensure timely delivery and installation.
Ensure client satisfaction by visiting the project on completion with the client; resolve any complaints or concerns.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met.
Keep up to date with design trends and techniques to ensure the best possible design solutions for our clients.
Education
A degree in Interior Design or a related field.
Experience
At least 1-5 years of relevant experience in residential design.
Other Requirements
Strong proficiency in industry software such as SketchUp, 2020, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Knowledge of materials, finishes, and furnishings.
A portfolio showcasing their design skills and creativity.
Outstanding communication skills both in writing and oral communication.
Should have excellent customer service etiquette.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
