Job Responsibilities:

Customer Services (Families)

Establish positive and friendly relationship with parents and children.

Responding to parent concerns appropriately.

Provide a higher level of care to all children.

To conduct individual parent-teacher conferences. Prepare materials for and discuss during the conferences include:

Assessment or ASQ, the individual plan, anecdotal notes and the regular observation records of the children

(Children’s Portfolio)

Keep the families informed of the daily activities of the children and program happenings through daily reports

Document and communicate properly any accident or incident reports when needed.

In the Classroom:

Understand and promote the integral development of the child.

Prepare materials for planned activities.

Develop a positive learning environment.

Practice positive discipline techniques.

Encourage children to seek help.

Experience and Education:

Meet or exceed individual state requirements for position.

High School Diploma or GED.

CDA Certified / AA or BA in Early Childhood Education a plus

One (1) or more years of experience working with children.

CPR and First Aid Certification.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a must.

Preferred experience with:

o Culturally diverse children.

o Working as a member of a team.
