Foster Remodeling Solutions, Inc., (FRS), (a Progressive Northern Virginia Design-Build Remodeling Company in business for over 39 years), is currently recruiting for an experienced Production Manager (PM) to join our team.

Please note, this is not a remote position, candidates living in the DC Metro area must work in the Lorton, VA office.

The FRS Production Department coordinates all labor, materials, and subcontractors for residential remodeling projects. The Production Manager (PM) is responsible for the entire FRS Design-Build Production Department. The ideal candidate will coordinate all activities related to remodeling and renovation projects sold by the sales department and manage jobs from inception to completion. The responsibilities include maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the project while maintaining the company's gross profit goals. The goal of the PM will be to manage the FRS Production Department through in-place and well-established procedures and systems.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Oversee and train Production Department employees, (Project Manager, Production Coordinator, Lead Carpenters, and Carpenters.)

Assign duties to others to facilitate the most efficient flow of work.

Review remodeling project packages to determine if the job can be done on schedule and within gross profit.

Timely coordination and completion of the steps necessary to prepare for a smooth construction process.

Coordinate and participate in pre-construction conferences with clients, salespeople, and lead carpenters.

Maintain positive communication with clients throughout the project via telephone, text, fax, e-mail, mail, in-person, and bimonthly job site visits.

Coordinate client billing and payment collection progress via lead carpenters.

Coordinate client requested change orders.

Recruit, train, and maintain an adequate workforce of carpenters, subcontractors, and laborers to meet the company's needs.

Continuously review job costs to not exceed the sales estimate and signed contract totals.

Coordinate the maintenance of all company vehicles, tools, and equipment. This includes prompting employees to obtain state-required inspections, routine maintenance, and general vehicle cleanliness.

Submit a biweekly production report to include progress on each project with a completion schedule for each job.

As the completion date of a project approaches, the Production Manager will require the lead carpenter to request a complete owner’s punch list.

Create new procedures and policies for the production department to maximize performance and efficiency.

Provide annual performance reviews with all production staff.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

High School Graduate.

Bachelor’s degree in construction and/or construction management related fields, military service, or equivalent trade school certificates and work experience.

Twelve years minimum experience in residential production management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to build multi-faceted job schedules, i.e., assign staff, coordinate permitting, inspectors, order materials, etc.

All candidates must speak fluent English to ensure safe and effective performance for remodeling projects assigned.

Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation- $120,000 to $130,000 per year.

Monday – Friday Work Week 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
