Objective for this role:

The Bookeeper will play a crucial role in supporting the firm's accounting services department. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners and Company Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in overseeing daily, monthly, quarterly and annual operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to accounts payable/receivable and general ledger activities. This would include managing mail correspondence for the Company.

Partner as necessary with all departments and leadership.

Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. This will include all banking operational tasks on a daily, monthly and quarterly basis. Commission reporting and execution would be an example

Act as a liaison between clients and the accounting team, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing guidance on financial matters. This would include entering billing or correspondence. This would include emailing clients with pertinent information like invoices and past due statements.

Conduct as-needed meetings to gather information, discuss financial reports, and provide feedback to Company Controller.

Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations, tax laws, and industry trends, and make recommendations for adjustments to accounting practices as necessary.

Strong execution of bill paying, credit card transactions and processing with proper deadlines and follow guidelines assigned by Company Controller.

Participate in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing client satisfaction, and driving business growth.
