Description JOB SUMMARYThis role, under legal professional supervision, delivers substantive legal services, allowing delegation of various legal tasks to the Paralegal Specialist within statutory boundaries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLitigation:
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and manage trial preparations.
Oversee junior paralegals and coordinate case documents for production.
General:
Draft and prepare legal documents for lawyers.
Manage legal projects, attend meetings and proceedings, and provide project management.
Supervise Project Assistants and maintain notary license.
Follow instructions from supervising lawyers.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain accurate time records.
Bill a minimum of 1,536 creditable hours annually.
Work a predictable schedule with flexibility during heavy workloads.
Adhere to ethical codes and attend legal education for continuous improvement.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Trial experience required.
Strong knowledge of state and federal rules.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Level - Senior Paralegal Specialist:
Bachelor’s Degree or 18+ years of experience.
18+ years relevant experience required.
Level - Paralegal Specialist:
Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification from ABA approved program.
13+ years relevant experience required.
Level - Senior Paralegal:
Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification from ABA approved program.
10+ years relevant experience required.
