The successful candidate will have challenging design and construction experience in a wide range of industries and projects to meet the opportunities in Parsons portfolio. Parsons Cx teams have successfully provided Cx services to over 100 million square feet of facilities from hundreds of projects in just the last 10 years.Commissioning Authorities are responsible for building positive team dynamics and guiding projects’ members to the best solutions to stay on track and maintain Owner’s visions. CxAs must be technically sound, have excellent communication skills, able to quickly and accurately evaluate issues, make sound recommendations, and document the operating details of the build. Conflict resolution with a temperate demeanor are traits of successful Cx personnel where you will be asked to be the only person in the room to raise your hand to save a project future stress and inefficiency. At all times a CxA is professional and relatable to each of the build team from the trades on the floor to the management and design professionals in the back office.Parsons Cx teams are asked to safeguard some of the world’s most secure facilities, as such you must be upstanding and forthright, capable of being entrusted with each project’s best guarded information. Projects range from small commercial office renovations to large complex green field institutional campuses service Sea, Air, Land, and beyond. As part of this expanding value add industry, you will be key in developing and implementing Parsons fundamental Cx systems.Position requires 20% travel to client sites during the year and an on-ice rotation to McMurdo Station, Antarctic for a few months during the southern hemisphere summer (OCT-MAR).What You'll Be Doing:
Review of design submittals for Cx and maintenance
Development of Cx SOWs and budgets
Development of Cx documents: OPRs, Plans, Specifications, Statements of Work, tests, verification documents, schedules, training, O&Ms, Systems Manuals, and other associated paper.
Review and reporting of Cx tools and resources to internal and external stakeholders.
Development of Cx capabilities presentations.
Development and participation in individual and firm Cx affiliations.
Direct support of multiple projects and bid documents.
Client communication and management of project Cx scopes of work.
Evaluation of projects and value add services.
Presentation and reporting to senior management.
Active participation in Cx community and community development within and outside Parsons.
Teaming with and/or leading other professionals on tasks.
Additional office locations may be considered upon request.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
At least 15 years engineering/technical experience. A mix of design, field, and operations experience is preferred.
At least 10 years Cx experience. Preferably diverse Cx experience that may include: retro, new construction, LEED (or similar), condition assessment, sustainability, reliability, direct hire, third party oversite, etc.
ABET accredited engineering or technical degree required.
Active current certification as a Cx professional with an industry recognized Cx organization.
Demonstrated experience in the tools of the trade including: OPR, BOD, FPT, IST, PFT, O&M, SYS manuals, plans, schedules, compliance, systems training.
Knowledge of Cx standards and practices.
Maintenance of issue tracking and actively managing issue resolutions. Must demonstrate team oriented approach to issue closure.
Knowledgeable of MEP/Fire systems design and Cx. Familiarity with envelope, security, and industrial automation/material handling systems highly desirable.
Experience with controls point-2-point checkout and strong trend analysis skills.
Client submittal of final Cx Plans, Final Cx Reports, and Continuing Facility Requirements.
Significant experience as a trades professional considered exceptionally valuable (electrician, plumber, fitter, sheet metal, pipe welder, I&C tech, fire tech, etc.)
Federal and capital projects experience highly desired.
Must be a US citizen.
Must pass Antarctic medical requirements.
Ability to deploy to Antarctica during the southern hemisphere summer (OCT-MAR)
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Prior Journeyman building trades experience highly desirable.
LEED certification highly desired.
PE registration highly desired.
