Our work depends on a Project Manager joining our team to support the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.The National Nuclear Security Administration IT Managed Services (NIMS) is an exciting program performing IT support for the Department of Energy's organization responsible for enhancing national security through the application of nuclear science by maintaining and enhancing the safety, security, and effectiveness of the US nuclear weapons stockpile. This support is provided in several locations across the US giving employees great options for geographically diverse work locations. The primary goal of the program will be to support the NNSA Associate Administrator for Information Management and Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in modernizing its IT and Cybersecurity Infrastructure and transforming current IT and Cybersecurity services to a managed service environment.At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, estimation, management and oversight of specific project activities.Other responsibilities include,

Uses appropriate project techniques/methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.

Assists with managing requirements for infrastructure engineering and implementation initiatives.

Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery schedule.

Project resource management; quality, risk, scope, schedule, and communication management; and quality assurance.

Proactively manages risks and issues; responds to questions, concerns, and comments.

HOW A PROJECT MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Contribute to one of the nation’s most important missions, securing nuclear power and arsenals.

Provide direction and oversight to team for completion of tasks, activities, and deliverables and will be proactive in alerting NNSA to potential project issues.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline.

5+ years of relevant project management experience.

Relevant professional certification preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, conferencing/collaboration software, project scheduling tools.

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance or higher. Active clearance preferred.
