Employment Type: Full-timeClearance Requirement: Active MBI Clearance Job Overview:The Business Master File Modernization (BMF Mod) program is a key initiative under the CLIENT IT Modernization Business Plan, aimed at modernizing legacy tax processing systems. This initiative seeks to enhance taxpayer experience, improve compliance, and reduce dependence on outdated technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Developer to contribute to the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of a modernized BMF platform. The role also involves providing support for Operations & Maintenance (O&M), project management, software development, and legislative-driven updates based on CLIENT priorities. Key Responsibilities:Support the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of a modernized CLIENT BMF platform.Assist with day-to-day O&M tasks, ensuring the stability and reliability of existing tax processing systems.Extract business rules from legacy mainframe code and contribute to code conversion efforts.Work with CLIENT Core Record Layout (CRL) and QSAM Data Formats for data management.Develop and maintain IBM z/OS assembly language programs, focusing on job control processing and data manipulation techniques.Utilize CA Endevor Software Change Manager (SCM) for version control, release management, and security access control.Implement and manage job scheduling and workflow automation using BMC Control-M.Work with DB2, QSAM, and VSAM data formats to ensure seamless integration with modernized systems.Translate assembly logic into Java code, applying object-oriented programming principles, loops, and conditional structures.Provide technical expertise in IBM mainframe architecture, including system calls, memory hierarchy, and interrupt handling.Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Hands-on experience with CLIENT Core Record Layout (CRL) and QSAM Data Formats.Previous experience with CLIENT Individual Master File (IMF) or Business Master File (BMF) is highly desirable.Strong proficiency in IBM z/OS assembly language, including addressing modes, job control, and data manipulation.Required Assembler programming and prefer JAVA programming as well.Familiarity with CA Endevor SCM for software versioning, release control, and security access.Expertise in BMC Control-M for job scheduling and workflow automation.Deep understanding of IBM mainframe architecture, including storage and system call processes.Proficiency in DB2, QSAM, and VSAM data formats for legacy mainframe systems.Strong knowledge of Java programming principles to facilitate migration from legacy code to modern applications.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience with CLIENT modernization projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex data processing systems.                       Arthur Grand Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer (including disability/vets) About Arthur Grand Technologies:Arthur Grand Technologies is a leading provider of staffing and technology consulting services.
