OCT Consulting is an SBA-certified, 8(a) small business management and technology consulting firm that provides support to Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.Responsibilities and DutiesOCT Consulting currently has an opportunity for a Contract Specialist with 3-10 years of relevant experience in federal acquisitions. Experience with a variety of vehicle contract types, including but not limited to fixed price, time and materials, cost/cost-plus, interagency agreements, IDIQ, and BPA is required. Responsibilities will include preparing pre-award documentation, supporting post-award activities, and assisting in contract closeouts as required. Experience supporting an acquisition office in the Contract and Procurement Series 1102 is preferred. The experience can be either as a federal government employee or as a contractor supporting a Federal Agency, or a combination of both. RequirementsQualifications

Three (3) to ten (10) years of full-spectrum federal contract experience

Bachelor's Degree is preferred

Acquisition certification is highly desired (i.e., FAC-C, DAWIA certification, and NCMA certifications will also be considered)

Knowledgeable in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal contracting procedures

Proficiency in using software tools for document creation, collaboration, and formatting, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PRISM or similar contracting writing systems

Attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines

Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, acquisition professionals, and stakeholders

Must be a US Citizen

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. The investigation will involve a credit, fingerprint, and law enforcement agency check.
