And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Team OverviewThis new and exciting leadership position will represent all brands within GAF Commercial products and services - including Commercial, Siplast, Coatings, and Street Bond. The position must be able to work independently. This position reports to the Vice President, Sales Enablement, and requires the establishment of, and operation from, an in-home office.SummaryThe Channel Sales Optimization, Government & Education Lead, Mid-Atlantic Region, is primarily responsible for developing sales and technical support materials in the government and education sectors for the assigned sales region, which includes markets primarily in Eastern PA through Southern Virginia.Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and document a business strategy, sales best practices, and a tactical territorygrowthplanforgrowingspecifiedbuildingmaterialsalestotheGovernment andEducationindustriesacrosstheMid-AtlanticRegion,withanintenttoscalethese practices across regions and brands, while continuing to grow and support existing business in the region.

Work with GAF sales management and sales operation leadership teams to identify select regions across the country where scaling your Government and Education go-to-market best practices is appropriate.

Co-build with the VP, Sales Enablement, sales training tools to facilitate said scaling of Government and Education offerings.

Providesalesandtechnicalsupporttotheregioncultivatingexistingcustomer relationships while developing new name accounts.

Where a justified need exists, and subject to approval of corporate senior management, establish distributors and/or Company inventories.

Exercisepricingauthorityinajudiciousmannertomeetorexceedbothvolumeand profit goals.

Conductsalespresentationsandarrangeplantvisitsforcustomerswhenappropriate.

Ensurethatregularcontactismadewithleadingroofingcontractors,roofconsultants, ownersandotherimportantpurchasers,specifiersorconsumersofroofingmaterialin the region with the specific objective of obtaining orders from the roofing contractors and consumers, and favorable specifications from the others.

EnsurethatallroofingcontractorsareproperlytrainedregardingGAFspecifications and application techniques and well motivated to use GAF products wherever possible.

Investigate complaints promptly and follow through until they are settled satisfactorily.

Maintain regular contact with the Technical and Building Sciences Departments to ensure that technical needs of the region are being met, and that all region sales personnel are communicating with, and providing assistance to these Departments as needed.

Keep the Vice President, Sales Enablement fully informed at all times on current conditions and future prospects in the region.

Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vice President, Sales Enablement.
