Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Credit Clerk to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. The role involves processing credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and handling customer credit inquiries in our Financial Analyst - Entry Level department. The Credit Clerk will also be tasked with monitoring customer credit accounts and initiating appropriate actions for delinquent payments.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner Maintain and update customer credit records, ensuring the data is accurate Address customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally Monitor customer credit accounts and identify any delinquent payments Initiate appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments in accordance with company policies Evaluate merchant loan applications and analyze financial data to make informed credit decisions Conduct comprehensive analysis of loan applications, including review of financial statements, credit reports, and bank statements Apply established underwriting guidelines and risk tolerance levels in making loan approval or decline decisions Utilize financial models and forecasting techniques to assess a merchant's ability to meet loan obligations Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather additional information, resolve discrepancies, and make informed credit decisions Monitor and review existing loan portfolios, conduct periodic reviews, and recommend actions to mitigate risk and ensure portfolio quality Adhere to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices in all aspects of work. Skills: Proficiency in Excel Formulas Familiarity with Loan Products Requirements Candidate must possess a basic understanding of financial concepts. Proficiency in Excel Formulas is required. Knowledge of Loan Products is essential. Entry-level position, no prior experience is required but would be advantageous. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field is preferred. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is a must. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills and capability to manage multiple projects. Eagerness to learn and ability to apply learning quickly.
