This organization values a positive and collaborative work environment, offering employees opportunities for career growth and development, coupled with an excellent work-life balance.Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager to join our Client's collaborative and dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, contributing to the success and sustainability of the organization.Responsibilities:

Perform full range accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, account analysis, and reconciliation.

Lead month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Oversee fund accounting processes, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and comprehensive financial insights.

Coordinate and actively participate in audit preparation, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Monitor and enforce internal controls to safeguard the organization's financial assets.

Stay updated on non-profit accounting standards and best practices, implementing changes as necessary.

Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in full-range accounting roles.

Extensive experience in general ledger maintenance, account analysis, month-end close, fund accounting, financial statement preparation, and audit preparation.

Non-profit industry experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
