Litter Removal Crew Member

Reports To: Field Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Connecticut - (Rocky Hill, Bridgeport, New Haven)

Schedule: Mon – Fri Variable Hours, Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Pay Rate - $15.69/hr

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation® (AHMC) has provided highway clean up and maintenance in partnership with DOT’s and local businesses for over 30 years.

Here are some facts about this position:

The work is outdoors along highways during daylight hours.

We have been doing this type of work for over 30 years.

Crew are provided free snacks and we treat for lunch at least once a week.

Safety equipment is provided and replaced as needed.

The work is mixed between litter removal and travel from cleaning spots.

We have a pickup spot that we meet at every morning and then we handle all the transportation from there.

Some paid holidays

eligible for monthly bonus after 60 days

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older and able to lift up to 20lbs independently

Walk several miles at a time and be on their feet for the majority of their shift

Communicate verbally and listen to instructions from their supervisor

Be comfortable working outdoors up to 90% of the shift with exposure to varying temperatures and weather patterns

We do not work in extreme weather conditions

Be comfortable working alongside the shoulder of the highway.
