The Facilities Technician is responsible for providing general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford’s five brick-and-mortar sites. This position ensures that all facilities are safe, clean, and functional to support high-quality programming for youth. The Technician will work closely with the VP of Facilities & Safety to prioritize and complete tasks, coordinate outside vendors when needed, and respond to urgent maintenance needs promptly.Key Job ResponsibilitiesPerform general repairs and maintenance (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and minor HVAC troubleshooting).Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.Assemble, move, and repair furniture, equipment, and fixtures.Support seasonal facility needs, including snow removal, groundskeeping, and minor landscaping.Ensure facilities meet safety standards by addressing hazards and reporting larger concerns to the VP of Facilities & Safety.Respond to work orders and maintenance requests promptly and document completed tasks.Coordinate and assist with contractors/vendors as directed.Maintain an organized inventory of tools, supplies, and materials.Provide occasional support for events or special projects that require facility setup or takedown.Uphold all organizational policies and procedures, including those related to safety and child protectionOther duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certifications a plus.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, repair, or related field.Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.Strong organizational and time management skills.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing for extended periods).PI277547683 Apply
