Description CONTACT: [email protected] are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the CPA Firm industry, located in Hartford County. The role entails the application of various skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Corporate Income Tax, Federal Income Tax, Estate Tax, CCH Prosystem, and QuickBooks.Responsibilities: Income Tax Preparation: Prepare and submit accurate tax forms for businesses and individuals. Review and Compilation Services: Review financial statements and records, providing compilation of financial reports. IRS and State Audit Representation: Represent clients in IRS and state tax audits, responding to tax notices and resolving disputes. Cash Flow Management: Monitor, analyze, and manage company's cash flow. Small Business Accounting: Manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Tax preparation and planning: Prepare and file tax returns, strategize to minimize tax liability and maximize business profit. Construction Accounting: Handle financial records and statements related to construction projects. Employee benefits plans: Administer and monitor employee benefits plans. Estates and trusts: Manage financial and legal matters related to estates and trusts. Business Valuation: Determine the economic value of the entire business or company unit. Forensic Accounting Services: Investigate fraud or embezzlement and analyze financial information for use in legal proceedings. Strategic Business Planning: Assist in setting goals, defining steps to achieve these goals, and mobilizing resources to execute the steps. Business startup services: Provide financial advice and guidance for startup businesses. Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. IRS problem resolution: Assist in resolving disputes with the IRS. QuickBooks training & Support: Provide training and support for QuickBooks accounting software.CONTACT: [email protected] Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Demonstrated experience with general ledger management and journal entries Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience with month-end close procedures Knowledge of corporate income tax, federal income tax, and estate tax Proficient in using CCH Prosystem and QuickBooks Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar qualification is a plus Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity Understanding of confidentiality obligations and compliance standards in accounting Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
