Description We are searching for a temporary-to-hire Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Hartford, CT. Process invoices and make payments in a timely manner
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
Perform routine audits to identify and resolve discrepancies
Reconcile statements and transactions
Assist with end of month closings
Respond to supplier queries and maintain healthy professional relationships
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role
Knowledge and understanding of GAAP principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
Experience with accounting software, such as Quickbooks
Excellent attention to details
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
