This short-term contract / temporary to hire position is offered through Robert Half. Serving as the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Located in Thornton, Colorado, the Accounts Payable Specialist will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire opening.How you will make an impact
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Provide support during internal and external audits
Provide support to internal business partners
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete full-cycle A/P
Requirements - Excellent attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of 3 Way Matching
Sales and use tax experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
