OUR CORE MISSION- We love nature and our primary role is to provide protection and nutrition to trees and turf. Working with Rutsu you will serve to help and protect native and transplanted trees, open grassland and managed turf through sustainable practices that focus on conservation and preservation. We believe that by providing optimal health to trees and turf includes providing optimal growing conditions in our native soils and will lead to a healthier future. Much of the work that we do is to improve the overall microbial activity of the soil by providing carbon sources, macro and micro nutrients promoting optimal health.
We HAVE BEGUN our 2024 season, START WORKING IMMEDIATELY. From the moment you enter our headquarters you will feel as if you are family. Your experience level in plant health care is not important. As you begin your journey with Rutsu you will be fully trained on plant identification, entomology, disease and insect control, nutritional science and proper procedures to maintain optimal health of nature, your own health and the health of our clients. You will also have a specialized, assigned plant health care vehicle, which you have probably seen. You can’t miss the bright green trucks as they busily move throughout the Eagle Valley. General Duties Include:
Deep root feeding and spraying of turf and trees to protect and provide optimal nutrition.
Safely operate specialized plant health care vehicles.
Daily safety checklist and cleanliness of trucks and company provided uniforms.
Basic maintenance on assigned truck and equipment.
Morning preparation of proprietary mixtures to be applied to trees, native grasses or turf.
Accurately fill out notices and/or flags to communicate date/time/service performed while onsite.
Be able to clearly and compassionately communicate with our clients and the public on the services we perform and our mission as a company.
Cloud-based data entry into company iPads mounted in the truck while onsite to record services and diagnose any conditions/problems noticed while onsite.
Work Conditions to be Prepared For:
Mountain conditions vary widely, so we suggest dressing in layers. Company uniform, jacket, baseball cap and beanie will be provided.
We operate on some of the most remarkable properties on Earth. Care for privacy, safety, plant life preservation, sculptures and other exterior features is a must.
From steep mountains to rolling hills the terrain varies. Be prepared for the adventure with shoes that are waterproof and have good traction.
Be prepared to WOW the customers. One of our several weekly bonuses includes what we refer to as “customer WOW” comments. Whether tiding up before application or leaving a nice note for the client we will give you several tools that will help to inspire, educate and WOW our clients.
Mornings 30 minutes on average of shop time at headquarters doing preparation/checklist completion. The rest of the day is spent in the field performing a variety of plant health care services. End of day 15-30 minutes to do equipment/and vehicle wash down, performance checklist and prep for the following day.

Minimum Requirements
Valid driver’s license clean driving record
Men and women welcome
Reliable transportation or the ability to get to work on time. Headquarters is located adjacent to a bus stop.
Once trained you will be assigned your own company vehicle. Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.
No felony convictions due to properties we serve.
Background and motor vehicle checks are performed.
