We are seeking a full-time Sous Chef. This is a chef position requiring cooking skills and culinary expertise.
Pay $30/hour
+ equal payout on daily tip pool
Responsibilities:
- Ensure food safety and handling standards are met; ServSafe certification required (or obtained within 14-days of employment)
- Maintain Department of Health standards and oversee kitchen staff.
- Manage labor and cost control.
- Handle daily and weekly food orders with proper rotation.
- Assist the General Manager with daily operations, including front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) tasks.
- Support line cooks during peak hours.
- Conduct daily food preparation and banquet food design.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Create daily specials, prepare soups from scratch weekly, and focus on food design and plate presentation.
Qualifications:
- Professionalism and a passion for the fast-paced hospitality industry.
- Previous management experience.
- Kind and patient customer service skills.
- Fluent in English; bilingual skills are encouraged.
- Banquet experience is encouraged but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to drive and deliver banquet food with valid Drivers License

Working Hours:
- Deli hours: 7 AM - 4 PM, open 7 days a week.
- Opening shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Closing shift: 9:00 AM - 5/5:30 PM.
- Breakfast caterings: 5 AM - 11 AM/noon.
- Special events and caterings: 12 PM - 9 PM.
