About the Cardiology Department · In the Cardiology Department at Montrose Regional Health, the cardiologists and patients are supported by a compassionate, educated and experienced staff of nurses, technologists and nuclear medicine technologists with a total of more than 150 years of experience in the field of cardiology. · The goal of the Cardiology Department at Montrose Regional Health is to perform a diagnostic cardiac catheterization on every patient as precisely, thoroughly and efficiently as possible. The end result is a diagnosis that will lead to the best treatment possible while prolonging and improving the quality of life for each patient. About The Career: · The position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focuses on providing direct patient care. The LPN will be responsible for rooming the patients daily, to include manual blood pressures, O2, weight, heart rate. Attention to detail is of the upmost importance for medication reconciliation. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining test results and with collaboration of the provider, generating orders or phone calls to the patient. All About You :

Education: Graduate LPN nursing program, with current or pending Colorado nursing license.

BCLS on hire.

Training and experience: Experience in clinic setting is preferred but will train. Knowledge of basic ECG strips helpful.

Job knowledge: Ability to maintain confidentiality. Computer skills and working with electronic medical records. Self-directed and able to multitask. Friendly and positive interpersonal skills. Teamwork is most important. Eye/ear/hand coordination. Manual dexterity. Knowledge of basic cardiac care and working with all age groups.

Ability to effectively communicate, verbally, and non-verbally, in a clear, concise manner.

Administrative and philosophical compatibility with Montrose Regional Health.

Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with a wide variety of persons including patient.
