Laboratory Technician -Temp with possible permanent hire2nd Shift (3-11)$17-20 per hourThis position will interface and collaborate closely with other team members as required to support experiments, sample generation and helping to run and maintain R&D equipment.Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)t
Operation of thin-film vacuum deposition systems to perform experimental trials.t
Cleaning, loading and processing of test parts.t
Documenting experimental findings and keeping track of data/samples.t
Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations, specifically geared towards thin film analysis.
Skills, Education and ExperiencePossession of an Associate’s degree in an Engineering technology, the physical sciences, or a related field. Relevant experience in place of a degree may also be sufficient. 5+ years of experience in similar role.t
Experience in handling chemicals and basic knowledge of proper safety and disposal methodst
Proficiency with Office software (Excel and Word)t
Experience with vacuum thin film deposition processes and equipment a plus, but not requiredt
Training will be provided for all unfamiliar equipment and processest
Self-directed and comfortable with independent work
