Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer. In this role, you will work in a team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge (BS) in a science or technology related discipline and experience in at least one of these skill or computer language areas: C, C, C#, Java, Python, XML, Windows, .NET, and LINUX/UNIX, system software and scripting development, Java programming, web development, System analysis, System design, Software design, Software development and implementation, Software test. As part of a DevSecOps program, an opportunity to support Infrastructure (ISP) work is also possible. Experience or education in any of the following technologies would benefit ISP efforts: AWS, VMWare, vCloud, vCO, Automation, EMC, Storage, VNX devices, Windows administration, MCSE, networks, CCNA, Cisco and Cyber.Required: Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:Acceptable degree programs will include only science and technology related programs such as Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics , Mathematics etc.Candidate will have knowledge of basic Agile practices such as scrums, coding standards, unit testing and configuration management, hardware configuration, database and system administration.Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including US Citizenship.Desired Skills:Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: Java, C, C#, Python.Understanding of Cloud infrastructure, software / hardware infrastructure, middleware, and SOA.Candidate will work in a team environment utilizing software methodologies and processes.Cyber skills.Strong communication skills a results-oriented team player, creative thinker and problem-solver and follow all ethical standards of the Lockheed Martin Corporation.Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: TS/SCIOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per weekPay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $57,800 - $110,800 .
