Provides Microsoft Windows Server operating system support.

Monitors server performance and availability.

Ensures Windows server availability compliance to Service Level Agreements.

Address operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts and installing applications.

Installs, upgrades, patches, maintains Windows Servers utilizing management/deployment tools.

Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems and provides on-call support. Performs research for problems, defines solutions, performs research for problems, defines solutions, and coordinates implementation of solution with staff and customers.

Collaborates with team members to solve problems

Assists security staff in conducting, internal system reviews and audits in accordance with defined policy/procedures to ensure system/component settings remain in order as specified by security guidelines and STIGS. Provide applicable document as resolution of security findings.

Manages and responds to IT requests via Trouble Ticket System in accordance with customer SLA requirements.

Manages and maintains IT system changes via Change Request System in accordance with OCIO Change Management Policy and Procedures.

Participate in on-call schedule for technical out of hours support. The individual on-call is available during off-hours to resolve priority problems according to published procedures.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree preferred with 4 years of experience supporting and configuring virtualization environments

Experience with Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012, 2016, 2019

Experience with Active Directory

Desirable Qualifications:

Experience with DNS, DCHP

Experience with Group Policy, AGPM

Experience with SCCM

Experience with SCOM

Large Enterprise experience

Change Controlled environment experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to pass the Public Trust Government background investigation

Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to work closely with a small team

Ability to work in a high stress environment
