SECTOR OVERVIEW

Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to

meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil -

gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest

multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we

support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and

processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and

delivery, and transportation projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRC is seeking an entry-level Environmental Scientist in our Air Measurements

Division of our Golden, CO office to assist in the completion of air

emissions testing projects at various industrial facilities.

The Golden Air Measurement Group provides air emission testing services to a

wide range of clients - power plants, refineries, chemical plants, pulp

and paper plants, manufacturing facilities, solid waste combustors, etc.

We are looking to fill a position as an air sampling scientist to serve as a

member of a test team that travels to the client's facility and conducts

emission measurements. The air sampling scientist will become proficient in

various EPA sampling methods and develop knowledge about many types of

industrial processes. The experienced air sampling scientist typically

advances into either a client-oriented career path of project management and

business development or into a technical oriented career path working with the

latest monitoring and analytical equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Project Managers

and Field Team Leaders.

Sample collection at various facility emissions points that may include roof

vents or stacks.

Working outside in all seasons in industrial settings.

Data analysis and interpretation; coordination of field work and equipment

logistics; and DOT regulated driving.

QualificationsCollege degree in a scientific field or equivalent experience is preferred.

Candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment

or within five working days from date of hire in addition to a pre-employment

background check, physical and motor vehicle records check.

The position requires significant field work and associated travel (up to

70%). May require some weekend work. A valid driver's license and good

driving record are required.

Candidates must be able to lift and carry a 50-pound load, climb ladd rs,

and be comfortable working at heights.

Office responsibilities may include inputting data into spreadsheets,

writing and reviewing reports, equipment repair, calibration, and

maintenance. The position requires working in a team setting, completing

responsibilities, strong oral communication skills, and moderate computer

skill

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable

for the job and location associated with this requisition: $21 -

25/hour. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill

level, and other compensable factors.
